Hey hey, hope ya'll had a fabulous weekend. I had a great one, which included that long anticipated wedding that I have been nervously awaiting. It all went well and without a hitch. Phew.
On to the important stuff... What did I wear??
After lots of fantastic feedback following the Readers help needed: Which Wedding Dress??
post, I had lots to consider. Some very interesting points were made:
Erin- "although note the black Reiss dress is muchos popularus and is sure to be a wedding guest favourite for the summer! Also do like the blue topshop number but might just be on the short side for wedding a couple of inches, more collotte length and it might have won my vote!"
Lily- "black dress with neck detail: +absolutely gorgeous! on the minus side, isn’t it kind of tacky to wear black to a wedding, unless it’s super formal? also, big price tag. and if you won’t wear it again, that’s also a minus in my book."
Sarah- "i was told not to wear black at weddings….and dont go with the jumpsuit (in my opinion) they lose shape so quickly..by the end of the day you’ll have a baggy bum!!"
As well as these well thought out points from my fashionista followers, I also received many encouraging votes, the general opinion pushed towards the following:
With decisions made and no Urban Outfitters in Leicester, I was about to order online and pay a vile £8.95 for delivery... Serious?! When I hatched a last minute plan to get the dress when I go and see my brother in Brighton (see Brighton Rocks.)
Upon arrival I tried the dress on again, alongside its blue counterpart and ended up going for the blue one, a wild card!
After my few days in Brighton leading a beyond retro lifestyle, I went to Leeds for the day and decided to have a look around the shops to pick up some shoes and a cardi/jacket of some description. I cleverly bought my blue urban number and spent a few uncomfortable, sweaty hours changing in and out of it. By the time I was ready to head home I hated the sight of that blasted dress, and was having a serious last minute strop...
"I hate this"
"I have to take this back... Now"
So, I rushed to Urban Outfitters armed with this vile blue rag and almost blindly bumped into Ma Tenue De Mariage... Sigh. There she was gently hanging in her fiery glory, I knew she was the one.
I am happy with my decision, she was £85 so not super cheap but reasonable non the less. I am confident that she will be worn lots too. What do you think??
Although my moody pout says otherwise, it was a lovely day.
