Inspirations and thoughts from over the weekend...
1st Thought: Jet-Set Lifestyle
Better late than never I have finally clicked on to the amazing new US drama Pan AM. Oh my goodness LOVE IT... Sadly I've had to pick up a couple of episodes into the first series, (I can't seem to locate a catch up) but I am hooked. Love the outfits, makeup, hair and era, I want to fly back in time and get on board. Lusting after the leading ladies a really fab group of gals.
Left to Right: (1) Mike Vogel (2) Margot Robbie (3) Christina Ricci (3) Kelli Garner (4) Karine Vanasse (5) Michael Mosley
The lovely Christina Ricci for a start but more surprisingly is the casting of Laura Cameron who is played by Ex-Neighbours actress Margot Robbie. Aussie soap Neighbours is a secret pleasure of me and I love it when I see the cast go on to do great things... So yay to Margot! Soap star to Hollywood in a flash!
2nd Thought: Dressing Up
I am starting a couple of weeks work-experience - très soon... Feeling nervous with a touch of excitement... (or maybe the other way round?) It's been a while since I've been in an office environment and I 'm thinking about dresses. Short dresses, thick tights, boots and a cardigan. Office girl.
Left to Right: (1) Lipsy Knitted Stripe Ponti Dress (2) Topshop Red Leopard Print Pleated Waist Shift Dress (3) Dahlia Navy Bow Tie Dress.
3rd Thought: Fluttering Lashes
Big fluttering lashes are so beaut, but I am not so handy at applying them. Every now and then I glue on individual lashes and then go through at least 3 weeks of moaning and sighing as I can't get them out... It hurts god-damn it! By the time I do get them out half of my natural lashes have gone. I ask whoever is nearest to promise to NEVER let me glue them in again, and I forget... Causing a cycle of bold eyelids and upset.
This is why I really want to try out partial lashes. My beauty blogger friend was wearing some by Shu Uemura on Friday night and they looked amaze - it all seemed a straight forward affair. Stick just one at the end of your lashes and you're good to go.
4th Thought: Rude-Tube
Not Rude-Tube... Rude-Tube. I'm talking about Rude peeps on YouTube... Seems like this platform harbors a lot of negative creatures. I know it's all about freedom of expression but who are the folk who sit at home and type mean words in response to the creativity of others... Crawl off!
5th Thought: Beetle Juice
With creatures in mind I am desperate to get my fingers on the new Beetle Juice Nail Range from Nails Own. The shimmery colours reflect the light and bounce between shades just like the backs of our creepy friends...
Left to Right: (1) Golden Green (2) Pinky Brown (3) Purple Blue (4) Aqua Violet (5) Emerald Black.
6th Thought: Call that B*tch Out
Was so proud of my Girl Crush Millie Mackintosh for her on-mike-show-down with weasel face... Whatever her name is, OK yes I do know it; Rosie Fortescue...Ugh.
"Here's to friendship" - Millie Mackintosh
Left to Right: (1) Millie Mackintosh (2) Rosie Fortescue (3) Hugo Taylor.
The Made in Chelsea space in my weekly routine is now empty, what's a girl gonna do?
7th Thought: I scream for Ice-Cream
Finished off my Sunday with an Ice-Cream Sundae, pourquoi pas? Layers of cream, with warm choc and ice-cream is my fave type of dessert... So phew and yay too new Ice Cream Parlour Madison's that has recently opened up the road from me.
The selection of Gelato looked really gorge and the menu is full of fun options that make picking your pud a tough choice... I went for one that had:
- 1 scoop of NY Cheescake Ice-Cream
- 1 scoop of White Chocolate Ice-Cream
- Warm Belgium Chocolate Sauce
- Crushed up Wafer Biscuit
- Cream
Yum. Perfect end to the weekend.
