How exciting today is The Satirical Stylist's first evs TuNesday! Oh la la, this means that I have une petite trick up my sleeve, possibly not a trick more of a treat.
I want to share with you the delicious Talulah Blue. Talulah doesn't sing, instead she dances... Beautifully.
I have known Madamoiselle Blue for at least a decade but hadn't seen her for a number of years; when I bumped into her recently it was quite clear that she had blossomed into an erotique, swaying Aphrodite; with a social life to match, intruiging, non?

I had a couple of questions for the gorgeous Blue-Belle, so we could find out a little more about her thoughts and fancies, here goes:
Interview with Talulah Blue
1. How did you get into burlesque dancing/what inspired you?
I went to a burlesque night for the first time one new years eve, and there was a girl playing the harp in nothing but pasties and knickers, the mixture of her talent and beauty had me memorised. I started making burlesque underwear to sell after that.
2. How long have you been doing it for?
I've been dancing for a year now, i have been putting on burlesque events for over 3 years.
3. Highs and Lows?
Highs are designing costumes, getting good bookings and getting a great reaction from the audience.
Lows are how much time it takes to promote an event, it's fun choosing the performers, but that only takes me a couple of days, the rest is a lot of hard work and organisation.
4. Who do you look up to in the world of burlesque?
I think that changes from month to month. I'm quite in awe of Beau at the moment, who performed at The Blue Ball.
Her dancing was impressive and she has a good business head on her!
5. So, you made it through the first stage of BGT, tell us about that?
I took the whole thing with a pinch of salt.
I went there to have fun, meet some characters and hopefully get some publicity. I achieved all of those things. People who go to a show like that and take themselves too seriously set themselves up for a lot of heart ache.
The team were really lovely, the judges said great things, and I got a nice bit of air time!!
6. When you're not dancing, how do you spend your time?
Basically ALL of my spare time is spent doing burlesque. Making fans for dancers/ making my own costumes/ doing research. Now and then I will see friends, lol.
7. Where would be your dream venue to perform?
I don't have a venue in mind as yet, I want to get more booking abroad, just to experience it. Also if someone is willing to fly you out to perform, it must mean they really want you, so I probably want that confirmation.
8. What is next for Talulah Blue?
I'm working super hard on upping my game, I want to get a lot better. I won't settle for being a good dancer, I want to be recognised for what I do all over the UK. I'm not going to stop until I'm completely happy.
30th Dec is my next show at The Musician, we have a flamenco dancer, which I'm really exited about, I want to broaden my shows, and expose audiences to passionate raw talent on stage.
Now for some Satirical Style Questions:
1. If you could step into anybody’s shoes at this second who’s would it be?
Ha, probably one of my airy fairy friends. I know a few people that float around smiling, I would love to know what's going on in there!
2. If you were an animal, what would you be?
A sloth, that show has really taken it out of me. I was on stage the very next night, my body is kind of shutting down now.
3. Out of these four main passions:
- Food
- Dancing
- Sex
- Wine
Pick three.
Food, dancing, sex in that order.
4. A time machine can swoop you back or forth, where would you want it to stop?
If it could take me to where ever I make the biggest mistake in my life, and I can correct it then there.
If it can't do that, then I'd probably stay right where I am!
5. If you could dance on stage with any performer/artist from any era who would it/they be?
Forget dancing on stage, I would love to learn from Sally Rand/ Marilyn Monroe/ Betty page. A days dancing with each of them would teach me a LOT.
