Hello Wednesday, I'm half way through a hectic week and there are a number of things that are playing on my mind...
1st Thought: Lila Rice Ring
Have recently come across a gorgeous Brooklyn based jewellery designer and am in love with her designs. Really want to get my fingers on this Slinky Ring. Slinky indeed... Think elegant, understated and beautifully formed. The perfect holiday gift.
2nd Thought: Scousewives
So, what are your thoughts on newly aired Desperate Scousewives?? After getting hooked on TOWIE and Made in Chelsea, this new "Reality??" show was bound to rouse my interest... I started off slowly, thinking nah... Bore off. 20 minutes in and it was clear that I had found a new dose of reality.
Fave Scousewife?
Chloe Cummings of course. Young Chloe is the cousin of WAG Abbey Clancy and I can't help but be drawn to her, she seems sweet, kind and endearing. A fab combo.
3rd Thought: Scouse-spiration
Carrying on with the Merseyside theme, it was hard to miss the rollers that these Liverpool ladies were sporting, whether they were getting ready to go out or popping to the shops, these Northern lasses were fully dressed, made up and roller-ed to perfection. Now, I am not intending to rock to the shops with such a structured hair dressing, however, I can not deny that I have been inspired to invest in a set. It somehow makes the whole getting ready process more of an event... Oh and it may add some volume to my verging on flat locks.
4th Thought: Scale Nails
Another day another fun way to dress up your nails. As you know I like nothing more than experimenting with DIY simple nail art. So, I was excited to see that Barry M have extended there crackle to croc. I am yet to pick up a pot, but when I do you will be the first to know...
5th Thought: The Commute
"Commute" what a word... Sends shivers down my spine. I never knew the true meaning of this until this week. What? How? Why? How is this living and why is it happening... The answer is simple, people need to get to work. However, if getting to work means shuffling under the city in a crowded heap for another 20 plus years, then, find me a whole where I can crawl in... First step curl into a ball, 2nd pray to be trampled on.
6th Thought: Go Nude
On a brighter note I have found a neat little trick to bring my eyes to life.. Amaze. This is thanks to my girl Holly author of YM Beauty Blog who suggested I try a nude eyeliner. It's très simple... Apply it to your lower-inner eyelid how you would a black eye pencil, et voila! Bright and beautiful eyes. Think: Girl looks fresh.
7th Thought: No to Snow
Why do I keep hearing folk wish for snow? Apparently it's "fun to play in"... Seriously? What kind of games are these?
- A compact missile of ice, direction: Your face?
All these questions point to me not understanding the appeal of slipping my way through life, terrified of buckling, apprehensive of feeling soaked.
- Frizzy Hair
- Numb Lips
- Smudged Make up
- Damp Clothes
- Cold Feet
I'm NOT lusting for a snowmance... I say NO to snow.
