Yay, it's Friday! The end of a BUSY week... Pause, sigh and breathe. Unlike my usual freelance, sat on the sofa weeks. The last couple have entailed all sorts of running around in the outside world, this has led to a change in routine.
Up and out the house at vile o'clock, requires the following:
Early morning shower: Usually I only shower first thing if I need a blast of wake-me-up, otherwise it's a relaxing bath after I've finished my work & blog...
Make up: If I'm heading to a café to try and get some hours done on my laptop I may slap a bit on, but if I'm staying in my face stays bare until the evening. If I'm staying in - it's make up free.
Getting dressed as in properly dressed: When I work from home I usually pull something on in the morning and then "get dressed" closer towards the evening.
Hair: Instead of the usual greasy up-knot, leaving the house properly requires a good wash if time allows, at the very least a spray of dry-shampoo and some brushing, tweeking and styling.
Breakfast: When working from home I'm sat on my bum all day so I tend to eat a biscuit or sometimes nothing in the morning - juste un petit café will do nicely.
Early starts:
I am NOT a morning kind-a-gal, it takes a while for my brain to warm up. So the following has to be organized the night before:
- Handbag has everything I need? Check
- Outfit ready and laid out? Check
- Final check before switching out the light: Key, lipstick, OTD and other essentials in my bag? Check, check, check.
Ready to leave the house
With a face of makeup, a clean bod, fresh hair, dressed to impress and a belly full of brekkie; I have been setting off on my way. That is after a little spinning and pouting in front of the camera.
So here you have it a week of outfits... Monday to Friday anyway, this weekend i'll be lounging, à la naturelle following such exhaustion.
Celebrations
Today is an extra special type of day as its my baby-boy's Birthday that is my younger bro Seb (not the very youngest). He is getting on a bit now but I can still just about picture him as a little blonde cute-a-saurus with a basin cut and dreams of being a baker, then a magician, followed by a mad-professor. None of which he is today, thankfully peut-être?
Gotta dedicate the following Johnny C number to my boy, one of our shared faves:
Sending love, kisses and bday wishes to bro xoxo
