Today has to be a cheer up TuNesday because its the New Year and I'm sick... This was not meant to happen... Hmmpf.
Yesterday I was feeling excited and optimistic about:
- Getting back into work
- New blogging projects
- Setting the wheels in motion for improving my existence in 2012
I even went out to buy a new diary... Got the diary home and realised I'd picked up a notebook... a telling sign perhaps?
Despite my excited & optimistic self, it shouldn't have come as much of a surprise when I started to feel the onset of a sore throat, had no sleep and woke feeling like a vile dog with an pinecone rammed down my throat. The lack of surprise is due to me feeling super exhausted all week.
WAR ON COLD
There you have it, je suis sick. I have been battling with this ghastly alien throat-ache with the following:
Cup of Thyme and Hot Water = 3
Cup of Hot Orange and Honey = 2
Cup of Lemon, Ginger and Honey = 1
Menthol inhalation = 1
Lemsip = 3 doses

To make matters worse
I have just been given a weeks worth of penicillin from Mr Doc and my mother is forcing me to down mini bottles of actimel (those yogurt drinks) - total gross alert! I know she is right as thrush is an antibiotics bestfriend but seriously? Yogurt is the worst...
Sorry for my moaning start to the year, I am just so goddamn grumpy. The only thing that can cheer me up right now is a bit of Comic Strip by Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot.
