After a fab petite trip to NYC la semaine dernière avec vintage-ista Sammy Davis it was time to keep things local and catch up with a fellow blogster on non-foreign terrain. Ahhh a quick chat with the lovely hot-tot(tie) Sarah from Temporary Secretary. I first came across Sarah's platform when I was checking in on the NEW Dahlia Girlfriends.
(Note: Dahlia clothing websites fash-tastic bloggers)
Upon my investigations I was instantly drawn to Sarah's site, the girl has super-gorge taste and a really visually pleasing platform. So, it came as no surprise that this creative gal is in fact a jewellery designer of oh so pretty; kitch & vintage cuteness. She showcases and sells here: Temporary Secretary Jewellery and tells us all about it here: Temporary Secretary.
If you haven't yet come accross my gorge gal then you need to get to know, get ready for some serious fash envy and butter-wouldn't melt sweetness. I hope you enjoy getting to know a little more about Sarah!
Interview
Where do you live and what do you love about your city?
I don't live currently in a city, I live near the Yorkshire dales so I am a country bumpkin! I don't love it so much here but if I am away for too long, I end up missing it! Home is where the heart is!
If you could change something about where you live, what would it be?
I would just move myself from here completely! Just any city will do me fine, I'm not fussy! I do love Newcastle though because I spent a good 4 years there whilst I was at uni, so lots of good memories in Newcastle.
What made you decide to start blogging?
In 2008, I started a blog for my business, I didn't intend for it to be a fashion/style blog at all. I wouldn't dare put myself in front of the camera, and I didn't want people to know what I look like. I blogged to let customers know what was happening behind the scenes of my business, what I was working on and what new collection was pending. I only started blogging properly in June. I think I posted my first outfit post in June! A lot has happened in a very short space of time and I'm having to learn things very quickly!
How many times do you wash your hair a week?
Every other day, so about 3 or 4 times a week. I have long hair and it feels extra weighty and heavy if it's greasy. I hate that feeling so much.
What's your preferred hot drink? (coffee, tea, herbal... Describe your relationship with it).
I used to love coffee but it started to give me panic attacks from excessive caffeine intake!! I love tea! (who doesn't!) My fave is Yorkshire Tea! My tea breaks with my good friend from uni kept me sane!
Share a pic of one of your personal fave looks so far for 2012 (I know we're only warming up but still...)
I don't own any red dressed but I am pleased that I own this - It arrived just in time for Chinese New Year when it is traditional to wear red one the first day of our new year!
Satirical Style Questions:
If you could have any super power what would it be?
Be in two places at one time!
What would you change about your appearance?
I would love to be taller! A lot taller! I'm 5ft so extra height would be good, but I think I stunted my grown during my early teens when all I did was sit and watch tv, and go on the computer all day. I wasn't very active and I did very little sports, so I guess that didn't help!
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your existence what would it be?
I think it would have to be Start Of Something by Voxtrot, I LOVE the song and it reminds me of my uni days. Good memories!
Name three things that make you happy.
My cat, Oscar. Bubble baths. Road trips
You can be the opposite sex for the day what would be the first thing you would do?
I'd go and play football. I'm one of those girls who hate football, I don't get the hype or why it is entertaining but it seems that SO many people are incredibly passionate about it! I would like to experience this from their point of view!
Could this Yorkshire Lass be any more gorge? Serious cute-attack! Make sure you check out Sarah's online shop and load up on all that is sweet & pretty and of course catch up on all the behind-the-scenes on The Temporary Secretary Blog. Mais oui, pourqoui pas?
