Making A Spring Look Out of An Un-Sprung Suitcase

Goodness moi, I am such a horrific packer. It's always the blimin' same, off I go with either too little or to much or simply the wrong stuff. This time I tried (like I always do) to pack sensibly. This was the scenario:

Off to Brighton for the weekend - Pack a small bag

On return from Brighton head straight to London with the intention of staying a week minimum - Pack a suitcase

All of this needed to be done at the same time, as there was no returning to my wardrobe (home) in-between. I was great at thinking about possible interview looks, drinks with the girl looks, casual day etc.. But didn't spare a single thought to warm weather, apart from my Sunnies.

Hallelujah to the Sunnies!

The only shoes I bought were boots and there are not a pair of short's in sight. Leggings, jumpers, t-shirts and ONE skirt - With the intention of being worn with tights.

Skirt Sans Tights

Tomorrow I plan on meeting my girl for lunch on the park and the idea of having covered legs in this heat makes me shiver. So, I have decided that I am going to brave a skirt with no tights look... Usually I am wary of wearing such a short number with bare legs as there is way too much to think about. However, there is no other option, I am just gonna wear HUGE knickers so if ever I forget to be ladylike, there will be no flashing or obscenities.

I am also going to pack a pair of tights and a denim shirt so that I can wear the outfit tonight when I go to meet my darling friend for a glass of wine, have a sleepover with her, wake up re-dress and layer up and down depending on the weather... Always good to be prepared, non?

Outfit: Leopard Skirt - Urban Outfitters • Black & White Striped Top - Primark • Denim Shirt (Men's) - Acne • Sunglasses - Ray-Ban • Boots - Clarks
