As promised yesterday here is a breakdown of my double-shirt outfit. Featuring yet again my silk blue shirt passed down from my French Grandad (Massive heart this). Shirt layering is an excellent way to spread & stretch your wardrobe.
Here I am wearing my New Look Sleeveless Shirt almost as a dress, it just covers my bum but is a little short to be running around in as it is... Perfect when teamed with thick tights & a longer shirt.
Day & Night
This outfit worn with flat boots is a great daytime outfit, the layering allows you to adapt to your environment. Whereas a pair of heeled boots and red lips will instantly switch you to night mode. Simple.
For a look of added thickness wear a pair of black tights underneath or to add some texture/design layer a pair of patterned tights over the top (see my guest post: DIY patterned stockings).
Layering shirts isn't a limited process... Experiment with different lengths, colours, patterns & materials.
- Tuck it in
- Tie it up
- Keep it short
Remember to open your mind to each & every clothing item's potential.
It's not just me who gets to prance about in front of le camera... My darling clothes can work it very well on their own. Thank you.
