Nail Polish Swap with Lacquer Land

Following the past week or so having fun in Paris & London I was SO excited to get home... Wanted to catch up with the fam bien sûr but the main thing on my mind was my recent polish swap! My package from Texas was waiting for me. GoT To GeT iNtO iT...aSaP.

Morgan from Lacquer Land and I have become regular Tweeting-buds... Connecting over polish passion. A collection of convos led to the genius decision of doing a polish swap. She's based in Texas so brands such as China Glaze cost only $2.99 or so, whereas here they're £9. Vice Versa with UK based brands such as Models Own & Barry M.

I couldn't REALLY afford to splash out on a big international polish exchange, however, it was way too tempting, plus I was saving on cash that I didn't need to spend...

Polish over Cigs... Always

This is where quitting the cigarettes comes in. I decided to use my fag cash (£30 a week see Forget Cigarettes! I Choose Presents)... I wasn't sure exactly how much things were going to cost, especially with postage and so on.

To do the swap we each picked out the polishes we were after and worked it out so that things evened out with the dollar pound exchange, including postage. After a couple of weeks of weighing packages and checking for colours we had the final totals and were ready to send.

My selection total was a fateful $53 which in sterling is £32.

Morgan also threw in some extras for my niece and picked out some bits for me too! The polishes that I picked out were all the China Glaze Pink/Orange shades as well as the Essie. Morgan chose the rest... As a Hunger Games fan, I was not disappointed.
