With an obvious 90's revival taking over it was only a matter of time till I starting busting out an old but new look. Reminded & Inspired by a new denim shirt I bought on my recent trip to Paris, not only was the shirt a carbon copy of one I owned in the late 90's.. Once on, I pulled a jumper over the top through sheer instinct. It's funny how trends peck away at your fash-soul... You try not to notice or get dragged in and before you know it you're subconsciously repeating an in-fash era.
You've done it.
You're bang on trend.
You're an adult dressing as your teen self.
You're hopefully doing it a little better.
This shirt/jumper combo was worn (by me) in a variety of ways throughout the 90's... Sometimes the collar would pop out the top & the base out the bottom. Or maybe the jumper would be wayyyy longer than the shirt & would be worn as a kind-of jumper-dress but oddly over trousers instead of tights. Or possibly when it got a little warm you would whip that jumper right off and tie it round your waist.
Sometimes the shirt wouldn't even be a shirt but was instead an Airtex t-shirt... Who knows? The common denominators were:
Collar & Jumper
Always.
To share my OOTD with you, I decided to take a wander down to my first ever after school hangout spot - The Playarea and get some pics where the ghost of my of 90s youth, popped collars and dreamt of Nike Air Max's. obvs.
