Bonjour! Au revoir! Demain matin I'm off for my summer hols, c.a.n n.o.t w.a.i.t to get me on the beach, I just want to tan, eat, read, crash through waves and spend time with fam and friends. Oh and turn 31, such a ridiculous age, that's how old I'll be this coming Monday.
Today, I've been running around like a mad woman, packing, tidying, cleaning and so much more. My packing for tomorrow is pretty much done, I've tried to keep it to a minimum and have been very selective with my polishes and makeup.
I've also been packing for China, which has been SO stressful, there is too much to get my head around. 1 suitcase, 1 year, 4 seasons. My case is already full but there is still so much I want to take. Memo: Regroup on return from France.

Yesterday was a little calmer and kinder, as I had a gorgeous break at my fave salon and got my feet summer ready. My toes and so on have been in desperate need of a little upkeep, I'm really lazy when it comes to do this sort of thing, apart from changing my polishes, I do nothing to my feet... Nothing.
This has backfired as recently my nephew told me that I had "old people's feet" I had a little look and realised that they were looking a little tired.
His not so kind but relatively relevant words have been haunting me a little so I decided to book into Femi Health & Beauty for a pre-hol clean up.
I visit Femi beauty about every 2 weeks to get my eyebrows threaded by Faye so I know all the girls quite well, it is such a calming environment, they offer a variety of fab treatments and everyone is really friendly which is why it's my No1 beauty spot in Leicester. Faye has worked miracles with my eyebrow shape, she is an eyebrow-guru. After years of waxing and threading and meeting a lot of therapists in New York, London and Leicester I can honestly say that Faye is without a doubt the best (see previous threading with Faye post here).
Anyway, enough about hair removal... We're talking pedicures, non? While the gorgeous Pembe was working on my feet, I could see new, soft and presentable summer toes being revealed before my eyes!
There was a vast selection of Jessica polishes to choose from, after L.O.T.S of deliberation I went for Juicy Melon a soft peachy pink tone.
Once my pedi was complete I was asked if I wanted to wait for it to dry in the relaxation room?
What a gorgeous touch. I am feeling so much better about my feet now - am ready to take them to the beach. I asked Femi (salon owner) for a few feet care tips. This is what she suggests:
*Regularly apply a nourishing oil such as Jessica Phenomen Oil to toes, cuticles, heels and balls of the feet to keep them hydrated, soft and supple.
*Once a week use a foot rasp after a soak in the bath to keep on top of unwanted hard skin.
*Dont forget to include your feet when applying moisturiser to the body. Try Jessica Hand and Body Moisturising Emulsion for a good all over moisturiser.
From next week Femi Health & Beauty will be adding electrical hard skin files to their pedicures to help get rid of stubborn hard skin on the feet. These take off a lot more hard dead skin than with the usual manual foot files. Sounds amaze, non?
