Adios, I hear it’s sunny in England? Happy for you guys, here the weather remains glorious, pushing on too hot in fact, but who’s complaining? My tan is coming on nicely thanks to a 4-hour walk, (trek?) In the Pyrenees yesterday. Talk about pushing yourself to and beyond your limits. I kept myself motivated whilst trotting an almost vertical up-mountain struggle through mulling over love songs that mention mountains – developing an understanding of this “ain’t no mountain high enough” business.
I’ve put together a selection of bits and pieces so far. My sister and the kids have now gone back to England and my brother Seb arrives today.
Tips from French-Gran:
Save your water after boiling potatoes and use as a weed killer. Best used while water is still hot. Old wives tale? Perhaps, have a go next time and see what happens.
