Obscure tan lines perhaps but this caged bikini became an obsession… Gotta get get. Style inspiration hit me while watching The Bachelor.
Spencer Matthews has picked a clear fave from the beginning; Tabby who is also my preferred contestant mainly through putting me in touch with this caged creation. As soon as I spotted it I began desperately googling all sorts:
“Tabby from the Bachelor Bikini”
“Black bikini with slashes”
And so on until I eventually arrived at “Caged Bikini” this model was apparently a huge Topshop sell out last year which I totally missed out on, in fact if I had seen it in the shop and not on Tabby I would most likely have not been interested. The bikini that originally retailed at £32 was now being sold on eBay for £64 I managed to find someone selling a “new with tags” in a size 8 at auction and won it at £52. Twenty pounds over its original pricing but something that I am completely at ease with, you win some you lose some and sometimes you have to just win, no matter what the cost.
I love the top part of this best, it’s almost a top in itself and the bottoms look perfect paired with a cropped top… Beach chic. The tan lines are of course an issue but I always take at least 3 bikinis on holiday with me and alternate them daily in as many combos as poss to lessen the lines. When bronzing I have been rolling down the bottoms and pulling down the straps – to uncage a little.
